In particular, the Reformed understanding of it. I did not find that as the core of the book at all; age-segregation was the core of the book. If many people believed age-segregated activities saved them, then there would be a serious issue to deal with.

He is against an entertainment-driven church approach, and so are many non-FIC churches. He is for discipleship. So are many non-FIC churches. Then what is different? His focus upon and rejection of virtually anything that smacks of age-segregation.

If I am wrong, please point to the relevant sections of the book. I do not want to misrepresent him.polymathishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13122383984552473728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369049757021183941.post-16013415572591270582013-04-17T12:24:26.980-06:002013-04-17T12:24:26.980-06:00"But there is a greater problem that is harmi..."But there is a greater problem that is harming youth and families alike: a soil of widespread ignorance of the Gospel. The basic truths of Christianity are needed in the churches." I viewed this book as a call back to the "core principles" of the Gospel and by doing so addressed this very issue. The parents need to have an understanding of the Gospel and present it to their children. The Pastors need to be taking the Gospel and driving it into the congregation. No one, who has been in church their entire life, should be struggling with the basics of the Gospel. Yet that is the state of the modern church. How do we fix it? Real discipleship while cutting out the entertainment.

Anthonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15809458627989088552noreply@blogger.com
